BtL PRIDE Award
The Bridges to Life (BtL) transition program began a student recognition award program this year. All month long, BtL students are nominated by their teachers and staff, as well as by fellow BtL students, for the five areas of our Positive Behavior and Intervention Support program (PBIS), called PRIDE: Positive attitude; Respect; Independence; Determination; and Excellence. During the month of September, the BtL program received 28 student nominations, and one student was drawn randomly for the monthly PRIDE award of the choice of a gift card (he chose Starbucks!). The student chosen, shown in the picture with his teacher who submitted the award nomination, was nominated for displaying Independence in his daily volunteer experience, for which he logs his service hours for future postsecondary opportunities. The Employability Center is incredibly proud of his independence and commitment to his volunteer service!
