Capstone 2024

Seven High School Seniors, four students who are Deaf and three students who are Blind/Visually Impaired, gave their final presentations for their Capstone projects.  The fantastic projects included a student who researched parts of a car and how they work, a student who presented a project about baking cakes such as wedding cakes, two students presented about working with children in different capacities, and another student presented about building a table.

All students presented their final Capstone project to three judges: Mrs. Jamie Lugo, Principal, School for the Blind, Mrs. Jennifer Wright, Principal, School for the Deaf, and Mrs. Kathy Emter, CSDB Director of Special Education.

Students invited their mentors, found by the students at the beginning of their projects, to attend the Community Partner Appreciation event, May 16, 2024, 9:00am-11:00am.  Mentors who have supported students for their Capstone projects will also receive a certificate from the students as a thank you for their mentorship and support!
