Capstone projects
Written by Jennifer Holt, TVI Employability Center
Four high school Seniors, two Deaf and two Blind/Visually Impaired, recently presented their Capstone projects. One student created a video game while another presented about working with students to improve their spelling skills. Another student, who is striving to do Cosmetology as a career, presented about makeup artistry she created. A fourth student wrote a song which she performed for the audience.
All students required to participate in the Capstone program presented their final Capstone projects in front of three judges, including Interim Superintendent Spangler, the administrator/principal for the Capstone, Jennifer Wright and the Director of Special Education, Kathy Emter. CSDB students and staff were invited to attend the Capstone presentations to provide support, and students attended to see what is involved with Capstone projects. Students presenting were very nervous, however, they did a fantastic job.
