Classroom Community Teaming - School for the Deaf

What do we do when a teacher cannot be in class and a substitute teacher is not available? A collaborative team approach is implemented.   In these photos, a Science Teacher of the Deaf, is supervising and directing instruction for this group combining her students with the students the Math Teacher of the Deaf.  This approach allows students to have a qualified teacher who can support instruction and review practices.

In this picture of the math lab, students focus on individual growth area needs within math; aligning with IEP goals. One teacher maintains her middle school science instruction while monitoring work provided by the math teacher for his students.
