This semester, School for the Blind students, in room 15, created their own class coffee cart. Students sell coffee and other drinks to staff in the building, and are responsible for collecting money and assisting with making the drinks. The students really enjoy interacting with staff around the building, and this is a great opportunity to practice counting money in a real-world environment. They utilize many skills we have covered in math class including using a talking calculator, cash register, and measuring utensils.
