Deaf elementary All About Me

Students, in the School for the Deaf 1st and 2nd grades, had a wonderful start of the school year! The first month of school has been filled of special visitors.  We had Smokey Bear come to campus, the El Paso County sheriff and wildland fire department and we've been exploring the new children’s village. The last few weeks we have been focusing on “All About Me” and sharing with the class our favorite things and our family.  Each student took the time to help create a Google slide show of their information.  We practiced, practiced, and practiced before presenting these to our class.  The students did a great job explaining what they like to do and who is in their family.  Our math class has been working on counting to 50 and just started to learn about skip counting.  As the quarter proceeds, we will be practicing how to count by 2’s, 5’s, and 10’s.   We can’t wait to see what else we will learn about this year!
