A group of 40 early intervention providers from Colorado, Wyoming and New Mexico had the privilege of attending a virtual training on Saturday, November 4th. The training was a collaboration between CSDB, Wyoming Early Intervention Initiative (WEII), Wyoming Department of Education and Wyoming Early Hearing Detection and Intervention (EHDI). Our learning topics were parent coaching and adult learning styles. Dr. Joanna Stith who is a faculty member of CU Boulder and a Colorado Home Intervention Program (CHIP) Facilitator, and Dr. Sandy Bowen who is a faculty member of the University of Northern CO and a CHIP Facilitator co-presented. The EI providers were also able to meet with their state colleagues to discuss specific topics related to administering assessments and applying the results.
It was a wonderful day of learning, collaboration, and practical application for all the attendees!!
