Basketball and goalball games, the academic bowl competition, the Homecoming dance, and a delicious BBQ from the CSDB alumni brought excitement and camaraderie to this year’s Bulldog Homecoming. One look at the spectators told the story of old friends reconnecting, whether they were recent graduates or longtime alumni. Everyone gathered to watch the competitions, cheer on the Bulldogs and the visiting teams: the New Mexico School for the Blind and Visually Impaired and the New Mexico School for the Deaf.
The morning began with goalball games. Each team battled hard, with New Mexico using a talented center who made an overwhelming number of blocks! Congratulations to Taylor for winning MVP from CSDB. The academic bowl competition was also a close one with the CSDB players scoring points on difficult questions. During the basketball game, the boys showed their improvement in executing plays and their teamwork, positive attitudes, and determination were unwavering.
This year for homecoming, the Bulldogs dressed up each day of the week to show school spirit. Themes included superhero day, hat day, diamond day and of course, red, white and black day. Friday afternoon, students and staff filled the gym for our big pep rally. Another Homecoming tradition was the dance. Students anticipated going to the dance to celebrate each other and the Homecoming Court.
Thank you to both New Mexico teams for traveling to CSDB for our 2023 Homecoming, and great job, Bulldogs!
