Outreach Goalball Exhibition | CO School for the Deaf & Blind

The Outreach Department hosted a Goalball Extravaganza, Wednesday, February 7, to introduce public school students to the Paralympic sport of goalball. The day started with Coach Amanda and Assistant Coach Jessica explaining the history and the rules of goalball to five public school students, and the CSDB goalball team giving a demonstration of the game. After this introduction to the sport, the students from local public schools had a chance to put on elbow pads, knee pads, and play goalball alongside the CSDB goalball team. One of those students is now interested in joining the team.

Any student in 6th to 12th grade who is blind or visually impaired in the state of Colorado is eligible to apply to play on the CSDB goalball team.
