Deaf/hard of hearing and blind/visually impaired students, in the high school transition classes, participated in a virtual presentation from the Pikes Peak Workforce Center. During this presentation, the presenters from the Pikes Peak Workforce Center discussed what services they provide, workshops that will be offered in the coming months and how the students can receive services. They also provided three web resources that offer workshops and provide information about job openings. Students will continue to learn about other agencies that will provide services to them as adults after they exit CSDB: Department of Vocational Rehabilitation (DVR), the Colorado Center for the Blind (CCB) and the Independence Center (IC), or Centers for Independent Living. They will identify the agency, what services each agency provides, where the agency is located and how to receive services from the agency.
