Play-based learning room
Students have the opportunity to develop ASL, math, science, social studies, and reading skills in the new play-based learning room. For each unit, the room is transformed into a play space for a different topic. Right now students are learning where food comes from and discussing various food-related topics in ASL. They can learn about money with the cash register in the grocery store, make pretend meals in the kitchen, and serve food in the restaurant. Socializing through play in ASL helps them learn many topics as they discover the world.
