CSDB Outreach Programs recently offered a series of online ASL classes for families on the Colorado Shared Reading Project (CSRP) wait list. Each week focused on a different topic such as ABC’s, numbers, family, zoo animals, farm animals, community workers, emotions and food. Different tips were shared to promote more interaction or language development, using the visual language model.
Students, in the School for the Blind Bulldog band and PRIDE band, produced their spring musical, “Cyrano’s Café.” It is an original modern take on the classic love story, “Cyrano de Bergerac.” Instead of staging a live production this year, students pre-recorded an audio version of the show in three parts.
