Preschool Deaf expanding vocabulary

The School for the Deaf preschool class, at CSDB, has been working on expanding their vocabulary and learning the phonological features of American Sign Language (ASL). The students have been studying winter themed vocabulary in both ASL and English. Meanwhile they have also been working on mastery of the ASL locations through chants, dances, practice, and instruction. In this activity, the students worked on fine motor skills, ASL vocabulary, English vocabulary, and ASL phonology. The students matched the pictures of ASL signs with their appropriate location, then glued them into place. This activity included various skills and lessons that the students have been working on throughout the school year.
