School for the Deaf Art - Frida Kahlo

School for the Deaf students studied artist Frida Kahlo, before the end of the school year. To honor her work, Middle School students created Mexican mirrors of glass pieces and mosaic tiles. This exhibit of folk art was hung in the School for the Deaf lobby. Thanks to Rachella Ortiz, School for the Deaf art teacher, for this photo and story.

Center collage focused on Frida Kahlo and her art. Handmade Mexican mirrors, in multiple colors and textures, hang around the center collage.
