October 2023

CSDB staff interpreters recently attended the Deaf School Interpreter Conference in Austin, Texas. We're grateful for this professional development opportunity for our interpreters!

Therapy Holiday Fun!

December 2022

Getting in the spirit!

CSDB Occupational and Physical Therapists brought FUN to the therapy sessions, and some holiday spirit.

The Giving Tree

November 2021

This year, CSDB is providing two opportunities for our community to give gifts to CSDB students in need: an electronic tree using Padlet, and physical ornaments within the Administration Building lobby.

After identifying students in need, parents gave some suggestions of items students needed this holiday season. For the tree in the Administration Building lobby, these items were made into tree ornaments and share the age and gender of the students. Choose an ornament and remove it from the tree. Regarding the electronic tree option, access the tree here: https://padlet.com/hnunley1/s25g21a5vrmcetrx , choose a "virtual ornament," and type "claimed" as a comment to pick the ornament.  Please note: if you would like to claim a "virtual ornament" anonymously, make sure that you are not logged into a Padlet account.

Return your items to the front desk of the Administration Building by December 10, 2021 at noon, wrapped, and clearly labeled with the ornament code (eg. C1 or L2). If you are purchasing a gift card, please write the amount on the card. It is also helpful to include a gift receipt for the gift if you have one.

If you are not interested in purchasing an item for the Giving Tree but would still like to assist CSDB students in need, a monetary donation can be made to the Hope Fund. Donations can be made in cash or with a credit/debit card at the front desk or over the phone. Donations to the Hope Fund will be used to assist students in need year round.
