100 Days of School

There’s a lot happening in our Kindergarten class! We have been immersed in learning about different animal habitats! The students enjoyed play-based centers that connect to our habitat lessons. We had an activity table with soil, toy trees and forest animals and then the table changed to include “snow” when we learned about arctic animals and their habitat. Soon, we will have a water table with ocean animals and a sand table with desert plants and animals for our desert habitat lesson. The students learned about camouflaging animals, migration, and hibernation.

Recently, we celebrated 100 days of school! The students showed up proudly in their 100 Days shirts, which families created with their children! Activities including the number 100, such as making 100 Days of School Crowns, stacking up 100 cups, stringing together 100 cereal pieces into necklaces, seeing what they would look like when they turn 100 years old, resulted in howling fits of laughter! Apparently, age 100 is the funniest thing ever!
